ODE TO FALL
no, I'm not actually going to write an actual ode. (Sort of like my Youtube video which is also called an ode, but isn't.) Although I am a sucker for good literature, this is just me talking about how much I love fall. I was born in October, so I've always considered myself a fall child. right now it's the popular thing to tweet about how much you love fall and how aesthetically pleasing your instagram post of your furry boots with your pumpkin spice latte is, but I've always loved fall (before it was cool, hipsters). anyways. it's been kind of difficult to live in southern utah because it's still warm here and the leaves are still green (what the heck, earth, why do you do this to me, just kidding it's beautiful here for its own reasons) but I was able to go home to northern Utah a couple weeks ago and spend some times in my favorite place: the mountains. (I know, that sounds extremely basic.) but it was so good to just breathe in the mountain air and hear the crunch of the fallen leaves beneath my feet. there's something about fall that makes me feel so much peace, so much at home, so accepted. I'm so glad I was born in october: it really is the best month, in my not-so-humble opinion. I hope you all have had a great fall and continue to take advantage of this beautiful time of the year before it ends!
